More Information

Since I was a wee boy I remember playing my first game on N64 (Goldeneye) I used to have loads of fun, without a care in the world. I recently finished University for the summer and therefore I've been looking for a summer job, unfortunately being unsuccessful. So usually in my spare time I play video games, mainly Call of Duty 4.

I spend around 6- 8 hours a day with breaks in between and play before I go to bed. I've been doing this since I've finished Uni and have been fine up to now. I want to go to sleep but I'm still awake?

I would like to say I try to keep my self in tip top condition. Swimming and Weights three times a week, of a duration around an hour each session.

Right now I'm writing this post, wanting to go to bed :(

Thanks for reading

Paul

I play warcraft in a very passionate way!! but once i get a good record!! i am scare to play to lose. Its not the same with call of duty, there is a pleasure to wining.. and you dont keep record like on warcraft starcraft.

I think you should eat some turkey!! alot of it. its natural food, Not to greasy, and it makes you sleep naturally after. Also try not taking naps during the day. wake early and turn off all you devices! Some jazz or something.. But i think.. dont take to much sugars, drink alot of water... OR in the opposite argument,,, take alot of sugar and caffeine early in the morning, so that your wasted by 11 pm///
probably shouldn't play before going to bed. Playing games releases adrenalin in your body and that can prevent sleep. Or at least that's what I think =) try to do something relaxing instead.
I think that too. Video games are exciting and let's face it, addictive. I also find that after playing a video game I can't stop thinking about it and therefore can't get relaxed enough to go to sleep...
I am usually in the exact same position as you every single night but for the last week or so something strange is happening i am sleeping before midnight every night but so far only this week. and i am waking up at about 8 o clock every day its strange as usually i am the complete opposite. its the weekend and i am just woken up at about 8 oclock again. whats changed i never sleep like this when i have College so why start now?
Yes they are.
I've stopped drinking to much coffee because I was getting heart palpitations. The thing is I think I have a very addictive personality, I have to do everything in excess and I don't mean to do it.

@ Anthony - My record and pleasure is trying to get my score high, so I'm ranked pretty good in the world. A sad personal target lol :(

Has anybody got suggestions what I can do relaxing at night? Instead of shouting at the tv screen? haha

Thanks people :)
Read a good book, paper traditional book. Turn off TV and your comp, just a night lamp and a book.
Yea video games f you up.
I'll shall take you up on that :)
I knew the answer was "Yes, yes they are!" by just reading the topic and without clicking :p
If you pose the question at all, then the answer is "Yes!"
Yes! lol. Nah it's just I wanted reassurance and to see others had problems too. I'm now going to watch a few films/books the next couple of nights and see how my sleep patterns go.

Finger's crossed friends. Also sometimes I did wish I had a job, but meh my time will come one day :)
I had the same problem in till my Xbox 360 broke. So i just went on my computer more.
