Geek Out!

More Information

I have a Belkin Play Max Wireless Modem Router (F7D4401uk), and every now and again, my wireless devices randomly lose connection to the router, while still being connected.  I have to turn off my wireless adaptor and on again for it to work.  And sometimes the router itself disconnects from the internet randomly, which causes my downloads to stop and fail which is really frustrating.

I live in the UK and am on Virgin National Broadband.

Help would be very appreciated.

I have installed a router like your's , do you setup the router it the CD's (programmer) or manually by the Belking page? (192.168....) I had alots of problems like these it the CD's setup.

I have never heard anything good about Belkin Routers. I always recommend Linksys Routers.
I've used Linksys for as long as I could remember. But I was always having some troubles loosing connection here and there. I always thought it was my internet provider that sucked. But once I switched my router to DLink it never failed me again. Ever. So I dunno. I've used Belkins as well. I come across a few in my days. But i would stand by Dlink.
I recommend Linksys but I have a Cisco Pix Firewall that I use for my Router and I have a Linksys Access Point that I use for my Wireless Connections.
