Was reading this post by Matt, and it made me wonder....

Fortunately or unfortunately I have a very common name. Googling myself withing "quote marks", I still come out with 34,100 hits :(

OMFG That's so weird!

I never counted before but with quotes there are 911 results for my name!!!

=O

And to answer the question. Yes I do ever so often to make sure my site is still the first result for my name. ;)

It a "myname".com site. :P

I Google myself sometimes.

In fact, I have a site where my poetry is posted and if I want to find it, I have to do a Google search. There is one other woman on there with my name which is very uncommon.

It is a good way to find site where we leave messages and then forget about them.

Hi Taz, they don't have much that we haven't put on there. In some case, there is info that was put on there by others. I even found where I am registered to vote. Amazing huh?

Thank's for the repost :D Like I said on there I check once in a while. It's funny I never made the top pages before I made a Geeks.Pirillo.com. It got me "on the map" lol Kinda fun to see yourself on a world wide search engine.

If you google m0r7u71715 (my standard handle, tattooed on my left bicep) you get ubuntu's forums... online I am m0r7u71715 or Petricia Daemon/Bollisima... if you look DEEP into m0r7u71715 you get my REAL name... Daniel Boone... Look into Daniel Boone... well... yeah...

Yes, I have in the past, because while my full name may not be the most common one around I already knew that there were a few of my name in a tri-state area locally and I was just currious of what / who I would find.
I did not find any relatives, but I did find international soccer players, doctors, college coaches and business men.
