More Information

Do you have a personalised email address, like geek@iamageek.geek? I do (it's J@gorard.co.uk). Most geeks have them nowadays, there a lots of places to get them. Do you have one, or know someone who does. Anyway, reply to this post!

Yes, I do. Mine is js@johannessiig.com .
i got my own domain plus use gmail, google apps ftw :)
No, I´m a "Hotmailer" (Liver)
I had a personalised adress a few years ago when I had my own domain name.
My friend has one with "@x606x.com"
Not yet but I intend to. Makes it easier to swap ISPs without the hassle of updating your contact details for a ton of sites.
That´s why there is Gmail, Hotmail and others like it.
I don´t use the adress from my ISP anymore just for the reason that if I change ISP, I have to change the adress.
Now I have one adress regardless of what ISP I have or if I´m at a friends house.
Having your own domain name cost money. Gmail and Hotmail is free.
True but it's just one of those things that you probably don't really need but it's nice to have. Like a personalised number plate. Not that I'd have one of those but then I care about my email more than a car. ;)
Plus if it's not a .com domain it's so little money you don't notice the cost. I pay £2.99 (about $5) per year for mine. I spent more on my lunch today. lol
I was under the impression that you had to pay for these?

If I could ever set one up myself, I totally would :)

But alas, I am cheap.

So, I would LOVE to have one. Do I? No.
the very least is you have to buy a domain, 10 bucks or less a year
