Have you abandoned the writing-mechanics you were taught in school?  Do you 'write' like you 'text'?  Does the internet deserve any attention to proper punctuation, grammar, and writing-etiquette?

I used to not care about punctuation. Then I got older and realized proper speech was important to get my point across and be taken seriously. I do my best to punctuate and capitalize properly and use spell checker for anything I think is spelled wrong. I feel it keeps a "professional" look and people are more likely to both understand and think a little more highly of your posts.
I may not be the best at my "PUGS" but I try my best online to be aware of them. It really becomes hard to read some things when people write in 'text' writing. Most of the time I give up because it takes me longer to read it than if it were written out all the way.
I try to always use proper spelling and punctuation. Sometimes a typo will slip through, and sometimes, when I'm tweeting, I'll leave off a comma or use a shortform word (like thru for through). I hate that txtspk crap, like 2 for to and U for you. I think less of people who consistently use bad spelling and grammar on forums.
it all depends where Im writin my replies and if i believe that the person readin it might be such an idiot not to be able to figure it out...

However, sometimes it's perfectly natural to use proper punctuation and spelling, I may even run spell check, just to double check. For the most part though, if someone can't figure out what someone else is saying because the their punctuation is off, "there" spelling is used incorrectly, then screw them... This isn't a formal site, I don't recall seeing in the rules that proper spelling and punctuation was a requirement, maybe some just simply wants to sit back and be relaxed... not worried about someone correcting "there" every mistake, or even worry about making any. If we all can't get alone on this planet, or on the internet, the only thing that is going to bring is more and more political overseeing and regulations. So lets just all get along and except everyone for whoever or whatever they want to be or do... after all, isn't it my choice to read or not to read what someone else has so say... I love freedom of speech, lets keep it that way and co-exist with one another, ok?
Lol nvr I guess..I love it when u make abbreviations..
O U mean , . ;' \\///Actually thatz my major problem, even in Uni..
To all of you who tried to type good, you need to learn proper comma placement. Any location in which you would pause while reading, needs a comma. It makes everything look more professional, and helps people understand what you are trying to say.
I rest my case
I really like to start my blog now. I have too much to write, and I have same thing at my study, but this comma thing gives me hard time. some times when i write to my professors..they say Yad ur papers are like a torture...
You know what? If you have something to write about, don't worry about it. At least your aware of the issue you have with writing, and you plan on getting better. Your not ignoring the problem, your admitting to it. Just because something isn't spelled correctly or you may have a punctuation out of place, doesn't make what you have to say any less important or interesting, in fact it will probably help you in the long run. You need to ignore the people that have nothing better to do with their time than complain about the fact that you forgot a comma, or mis-spelled a word, only an idiot would not be able to figure out what your trying to convey. Because some people are perfectionist spellers and love to belittle people that are not, your depriving the world of what you have to offer in ligature. We are all missing out on your thoughts and opinions because someone is making you feel like your not good enough to have the privilege of participating on this blog or any other blog site for that matter. Relax, and share with the world what you have learned or experienced in life...the world is waiting for your input.

See...You misspelled, misstated, or mis capitalized almost ever word... and I was able to read it with no issues at all, I was able to read it fluently, without hardly noticing any mistakes, and you were able to get your point across....in fact I had to read it twice, to find all the mistakes. Good luck on your endeavor to blogging... I look forward to hear your stories.
