probably just works like any other standard Mp3 player, drag and drop onto the phones internal memory or onto a external storage drive for the phone, i honestly don't think it would work with itunes, as it's a proprietary engine that Apple runs versus other smart phones which just naurally sync with the storage...............their might be a specific format it has to be in?

It'll sync with an Apple computer if that's what ur wondering
Only Apple products (iPod, iPhone, iPad) are allowed to sync with iTunes. There are programs out there that make it easier to sync your songs that you have on iTunes with other devices but I'm not sure of the names at the moment. Also you can just open the device in the Finder or Windows Explorer and just drag and drop your music onto the phone.
If all the music you want on your phone is not DRM, then you can just put the songs on the phone. Android supports AAC, the usual format for iTunes Store music. However, you will not be able to sync iTunes with anything that isn't an iPod, iPhone, or iPad.
I spoke with AT&T today and they recommended that I get this device called the microcell. It is supposed to give me 5 bars of 3G service. They also said they would reimburse (spelt wrong) me for the device. Has anybody had any experience with this device and how it works?
taking recommends from AT&T

^.^ I've had no experience with Android Devices, i'm not picky with cell phones.
As far as i know though Android does everything the iPhone does so, i'd believe most iPhone users would have no problem with a transition to android as it's pretty much the same platform of Smart phone.
Just a different operating system >.> Is AT&T the provider of this phone?
AT&T is the provider of my iPhone 4

Verizon is the provider of the Droid X
;O

So what's the issue here.
Being able to transfer music files, it's no different then most smart phones and Mp3/video devices. The only thing is Apple products require itunes, like i said it's just a proprietary difference.
I've heard of it but never have used it (I don't have a need for it either since I'm on Verizon). If you really want to stay on AT&T and with the iPhone then I guess that wouldn't be that bad of an idea but it also depends on the price.
The price is ultimately free because they said if I buy the $150 device they'll credit that $150 to my account
That's funny. So since their service sucks they'll just give you your own little tower for your house pretty much! Well if you want to stick with the iPhone and you have good service everywhere else you use your iPhone on a daily basis then stick with it!
no it will not sync with itunes but double twist is just like itunes for your android phone. It has the android market, and i think you can get music from the amazon music store from in it. It also imports all your itunes music.
Motorola provides software called "Motorola Media Link" which can sync music, pictures and video from Windows to the a variety of Motorola smart phones. It can use iTunes playlists or Windows Media playlists as well as just a folder of files.

It will NOT work with DRM music so you will need to remove the DRM either by updating your music to iTunes+ (at $.30 a song) or burning your music to CD and re-ripping it (losing all your song information in the process). You can also buy music on Amazon and by using the Amazon Download application automatically copy the music into iTunes on download.

There are a few other options for syncing. You can use iTunes Agent to sync a single playlist in iTunes to any device that offers a "USB Mass Media" option. Once again, only if the device supports non DRM AAC or MP3 files.

You can also WIRELESSLY sync with iTunes by using TuneSync which installs a client on your desktop then uses an app on the phone.

Then there is DoubleTwist which supports Android, Blackberry and PSP. It was created by "DVD Jon" famous for breaking DVD encryption and his many battles with Apple's DRM called FairPlay. His player app plays the DRM music. I didn't want to use a third party player so I opted to use the Motorola product which was a breeze to install and set up.

The whole "iTunes is proprietary" is just plain mis-information but with a little Google help all these options were found over the past couple of days while I am preparing to move from an iPhone 3G to Droid X (mainly moving from AT&T to Verizon).

Apple has public and documented ways to sync products to iTunes using an XML file...the only thing you CAN'T do is use DRM music. The whole Palm Pre thing ignited that FUD because they refused to make a little sync app that communicated with iTunes and wanted to try and fool iTunes into thinking it was an iPod. Apple has every right to make an application for their media players, and they have every right NOT to allow other third parties to use it, however only the DRM songs/videos are "proprietary" and locked in to Apple hardware.

FYI, You can't play WMA music purchased via Zune Marketplace either....so it isn't only Apple with the DRM stuff, and now, you mainly only buy non DRM music from iTunes....

Hope that helps!
