More Information

I am so unfit it’s not funny. I am starting to do regular exercise to get fit and shift some of the extra weight and fat I am carrying about.

I was wondering what the rest of you guys do to keep yourself fit and in shape

i used to play basket ball for my school i loved it but i lost interest when we got a new couch
I'm not fit. :P I really should start doing something about that though. I'll be 25 soon and 25 means....skin starts losing elasticity!!!!
i workout in the evening on my an trainer and do some weighs as well
I'm a lazy butt when it comes to working out. Yeah, I have a elliptical machine in my basement gathering dust. So, I incorporate my 'workout' in daily things. For example, I use the stairs instead of the elevator, park further away from work/stores, and hand wash my car. House hold chores can also be a good workout (scrubbing the shower down and hand washing dishes). I recently bought a pedometer to monitor my steps per day (aim for 10,000 steps).

Another great way to keep fit is a good healthy sex life! :D Actually, one of my classes was talking about how many calories are burned during sex. I'm beginning to like these nursing classes. ;)

Are small meals always a nutrition plus?

No. If spreading your calories across the day helps keep your appetite under control, eating small, frecuent meals rather than three large ones could help.

Try making nutrition mini meals (peanut butter, whole wheat crackers, dried fruits) in your desk at work; choose milk or fruit juice more often instead of soft drinks; carry a piece of fruit in your purse; or refuel with a fruit smoothie or yogurt in the afternoon.

The thing is with diets, everyone likes different stuff. I find it easier to follow rules, rather than a menu.

Avoid calorie-dense foods (by the time you're full, you've eaten too much), 5% maximum fat in your food.
Have portion control (listen to your belly - when it's not hungry anymore, stop eating!)
Drink lots or water! Studies in the US showed that lots of people get confused between the sensations of hunger and thirst (incredible but apparently true!).

...then eat anything you like that fits that profile. It's worked for me in the past.
...and remember, don't buy things that you "shouldn't", your eating choice is made in the store, not in your kitchen.
:)
The only exercise I get is jumping to conclusions and running up bills :) It sounds like you've already got the jump on me...need to get out and do some regular exercise like I used to.
To be honest, I am not in great shape so my outlook can easily be disregarded. But as an IT Technician I am moving about quite often, so with constant motion I don’t necessarily gain wait, but I don’t do enough physical activity outside of work to lose weight.

I have been inspired reading an article from Tom Venuto Burn the Fat And I am now working out four times a week. And doing cardio every morning.
