Well that was totally different.
Um. Well, I guess we've got to start somewhere. But it seems the folks over at Sony did a better job with 3d when we all played Final Fantasy VII.

lol looks like a cheap mmo

now this is what a 3d internet should be :)

That is way cool, but he asked for "Thompson iPhones"?
Now this is what an internet 3D should really look like.

Definitely interesting concept. I have some books by an author:Mark Blum. He has written some cool books on the Galapagos Islands, Insects, etc. They all have two pics on one page. There are in-book 3D glasses provided, so you just flip the pages and use the glasses. I would imagine after learning Don Browne's technique, I would not need the glasses. Right now I see 4 images. I wonder what it would do to your eye muscles to use them this way for prolonged amounts of time. I doubt this will be the next wave of internet. It might be used for video viewing though.
You can use the "no glasses" method only if there are "side-by-side" pictures. If you are seeing 4 pictures your eyes are still not relaxed quite enough, or you are viewing a picture too large. The "parallel" side by side method will only work on photos that are about a handwidth wide. If they are wider you have to use the "cross-eyed" method. There is no eye strain when using the "parallel" eye method as your eye are completely relaxed, as if looking into the distance. The cross-eyed method will involve some tiredness as your eyes are cross eyed when viewing them in that method.
Thank you for your response Don. Apparently, when I saw your video, I wasn't clear on the part where you said to relax your eyes. The feeling is unusual, but workable. I'll keep an open mind. I'll have to practice relaxing my eyes. So far I can only see four images. Aurthur Blum's Beneath the Sea In 3-D ISBN-10: 0811814122 Publication Date: 2/1/1997, photography is outstanding. I was very impressed at the quality and format of the books. I was given an invite to correspond with the author from someone in my book club. Maybe you would like one, too?
