Just a point if you can clear it up for me?
If I am running my laptop from a house powerpoint , is the power to run the computer coming from the powerpoint , or still from the battery?

i actually totally failed to maintain the battery in my laptop.
Which is from Late 08 fallish..

I charged, Used, Charged Used.

Fail :( it barely holds a charge now
