Nick: Ever tried ubuntu?

Its pretty simple, although there are those people who instantly close their minds to anything that isnt windows. Hence the belief that linux is too complicated for anyone who isnt a geek.

yea, some *nix's are really simple, esp once already setup (they don't make you install windows at school either!). Also, "everyone know windows" because they are learning it at school. IF u started using linux everybody would know linux and not windows...
exactly....
but ur a windblows fan girl
so yeh
linux is the win
we will see .

i doubt it , it will get bigger obviously , but windows and mac os x will always be on top, half the people in my class don't no what a dam operating system is , i highly doubt they will no how to use linux if it gets shoved in front of them.

i personally don't want to use linux on my main machine more , i just seemed to get allot more done on vista ( argue with me all you want but i like vista)
i wont argue
thats what u like so im fine with that
i just love my ubuntu lols
ye u owned him! haha

This was perfect for this thread.
Quite possibly the best case of "ownage" I've seen in a long time!
Windows dominates in the desktop and personal computer markets with about 90% of the desktop market share, and accounted for about 66% of all servers sold (not used) in the year 2007. In server revenue market share Windows achieved 36.3% and Linux achieved 12.7%. As of November 2007, Linux powered 85% of the world's most powerful supercomputers, compared to Windows' 1.4%. In February 2008, Linux powered five of the ten most reliable internet hosting companies, compared to Windows' two.
