I'm still pretty shocked over the monthly rate i'd have to pay if i was to get the droid.......at least $39.99 +$30 for the data plan......$69/mo sounds a bit much

are there any other verizon users out there getting a better rate or some sort of deal?

104/mo ouch.....and i thought my situation was bad lol
i'd go for att if i was in a different area.......supposedly just like metro there are reported multiple call losses due to a busy network :(

plus they're against net neutrality so theres no way i'm giving my money to those bastards
My wife is quite the communcatons geek. We WERE using ATT/Cingular prepaid , but that was running us between 120 and 140 a month. Checked out Veriszon.. they were the only provider that would accept my credit.. now we have a 2 party plan for $130 unlimited M2M talk and text. The Friends and family thing.. we don't know too many people, so that gives us unlimited for us for all we know and 1400 anytim just in case....

This may get my geek card revoked.. not data plan! ACK!!
the only thing i hate about verizon's plans *besides the required data plan* is how they force you to go with a higher minute plan to get the friends and family option :(
I have Verizon and pay 120/mo for my minute's, unlimited txt, and the blackberry data package.
My Mom's Virgin Mobile $7.00 per month.
My Net 10 Phone $16.60 per month.
Our home Landline $15.00 per month.

I know it is not much, nothing fancy just pay as you go phone service and some texting.
Had it like this for 5 years, don't see any reason to change.
damn thats cheap.....too bad i can't get get those rates with smartphones :(
For 3 phones about $175 month.
What service are you using?
For two phones we pay $156.84 a month. I think it's a lot to pay for inferior service.
if you have Cricket Wireless that will save you lot. http://mycricket.com look for unlimited service with no contracts. If you stay on pc alot consider skype unlimited like i have.
hmm looking @ their map and its pretty vague for the sf bay area
