More Information

I purchased an iMac 27" nearly a year ago, and I realise now after a while I needed a Macbook Pro instead.

Is there any way I can have this returned or swapped with the equivalent price Macbook Pro?

P.S I do have the Apple Care Protection Plan, if that's any help for it?

Any help would be apreciated! :)

wher'd you buy it from.

How long have you had it.

SOme places will take it back within a very short period for full refund.

Otherwise you will likely loose 200$ by selling it for oh 200$ less then what you paid for it.

then turn around and buy the laptop

Bought it from the Apple store itself.  Back in August 2011 I bought it. Would I get a decent amount on eBay for it??

geeze and their probly releasing new ones soon.

Depends on the demands you needed from the computer and it's hardware.......

Yeah I know :/

The most intensive thing I do is edit my YouTube videos in Final Cut Pro X.  And maybe play Portal 2! :P

But I need portability atm :/

ic.

the 27 inch has an i7 quad Sandy Bridge

4-8gbs of memory (or more)

and a 6000 Series AMD Radeon chip?

Answer yes to all that i'm guessing 1500$?

idk probly just have to go see what others are selling ur exact spec and model for.

i could imagine it will be worth over 1000$ to do the price of ALl in ones these days, Especially macs.

It is a practically spec'd out iMac with 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD and etc .. 3.01GHz i5 ..

Right now a 27 inch imac with the following spec goes for 2300$ new

2.7ghz Quad core intel i5

4GB DDR3

1TB + 256GB SSD

Mouse + keyboard

512MB Radeon 6770m..

god must i say this is a bit of a rip off for the amount of memory and size of memory on that poorely made 6770. Anyways if yours is close to that i'd say

oh wait found it, How much ram does it run 4, 8, 16? it uses the radeon 6970M?
Your spec would be 2600$ brand new so Honest to god, Try selling it for 2 Grand.

And probly should get going on that as once they release Ivy Bridge and Radeon 7000 series chips your's will loose more value, witch is sad loss for the ridiculous price paid to begin with, Still Very Nice spec for an all in one computer, hard to beat. You won't get that kind of Video performance out of any laptop especially a mac unless it's got desktop hardware in it, witch will cost a fortune. But you'll get pretty much the same CPU performance, perhaps this is what your after.

Oh and if and when you sell, DOn't run off and buy till they upgrade the line again, Their do for it, as other pc manufacturers are releasing new Intel chips and what not.

Format hard drive, load Windows 7. Forget Macs.

I would welcome DTM's suggestion, but since he posted a pic of dwayne johnson, I'ma caution you LOL.

If you have another computer you use for general things, why not just sell your IMac and get the cash to buy a Macbook Pro from apple or best buy? Your computers current specs are just pure amazing and could get the cash you need.
