So I was playing "city story" on my iPod. It's like farm ville. A message came saying " download bing to get 4 city money" . How much desperate you have to be to pay developers to advertise your products when being the no.1 software company?

Microsoft IS desperate. Thnk about it, what "used to be" simply "isn't" anymore. People are angry in this Economy and at our Government and BIG Corporations. Since Bill Gates left as active CEO, Microsoft has been on a downhill slide. Look how long it's taking for Industry to adopt Windows 7, and this doesn't include everyone who "PURCHASED" Vista. Windows 7 is what Vista was supposed to be when it was released, but Vista was rolled out the door early due to consumer and Industry pressure. Microsoft thought a Psycological name change from Longhorn to Vista would stall the release, but it didn't work. All Vista users have contempt for Microsoft because they were (or will be) charged again for basically the same Operating System they already purchased. BAD move by Microsoft! Upgrade from Microsoft Office---------why? Purchase a "newer and better" Office version and re-train your employees--------why? If I'm going to have to re-train my employees, I may as well train them on Open Office, and it's free. There are several Operating Systems that are very close to being available as alternatives to Windows when purchasing a new Computer, or building your own. Microsoft has missed the boat in several key area's and has been seriously overtaken by the likes of Google so they now push "Bing" the "decision Engine". That is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. The "Decision engine" is a seriously flawed concept and infers that people using it are not capable of making decisions on their own. I detest Bing. Wall street is watching Microsoft and they don't like what they see---so YES, Microsoft IS desperate, By the way, Windows 7 was MY idea......Just how stupid is that?!!
Agree
It is pretty obvious you're not a fan of Microsoft. I agree somewhat with what you said about Vista, but that's about it. Bing isn't a bad service, it works at least as well as Google (I personally use Google because I don't see enough reason to switch, but I have used Bing when I couldn't find what I was looking for). And the "Windows 7 was my idea" was actually a great ad campaign, saying that Microsoft finally started listening to the ideas and complaints of its users, which definitely seems true considering how many people love Windows 7.
As much as I'd like to agree with you (and I really do), you are making a fallacious argument. The amount of profits made, or the amount of money they made does not show how good the product is, it only shows how many people buy a product (which can happen for a number of reasons other than the product being good, for example, necessity).

The opinion of crowds does not matter. Opinion does not matter. Objective reasons matter - actual real world tests and capabilities do.
I'd be rather worried in Windows 7 didn't sell better than OS X, considering Windows holds a 90% share of the OS market. The best product doesn't always sell the best, in-fact it's often the case that the best product rarely sells the most, usually because it costs more.
Bing's image search is good, I prefer it to Googles, but the rest of it is at best hit and miss. I get better results using Google looking for Microsoft stuff than I do using the Microsoft search engine on the Microsoft site. Irony!
To be fair, Longhorn isn't Vista. Longhorn was based on XP, Vista was the reset when they moved over to the Windows Server 2003 code base when they found loads of security holes in XP and ended up having to make SP2.

As bad and unfinished as Vista was, it was something that had to happen to move people on from XP.
Who gives a sh*t?

It's an advertisement. It helps make both companies money. What's the f**king problem? Who cares if they've got an ad in an app?

Microsoft is a brilliant corporation. Bing is my search engine of choice (although I do miss a few Google features). And Apple is my choice of computer.

IT MATTERS THE LEAST WHERE THEY CHOOSE TO ADVERTISE THEIR SERVICE.

You do not like Microsoft? Don't use their products, then. Don't bitch about where they advertise their service.
I Can't believe i didn't make myself Clear when i Said your a Looser AV
and yet here we go with another topic.

Microsoft is Desperate?
WOW Microsoft finally respounds to Apple's years of Propaganda and your Trashing them?

I apologize your not a Looser, your a Fucking moron.
There's nothing wrong with Bing, but I'm used to Google, and it's first on the Firefox searchbar.
