Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my android phone. I have rooted it and installed the appropriate version of the Miui rom. The problem is that the phone will overheat and not charge when plugged into the wall. The phone is overclocked from 1.2 to 1.6. This is the only problem, other wise the rom works and the phone is plenty fast. Note: It only overheats with this rom.

Details:

Samsung Galaxy Sll (SGH-i777, At&t)

Dual Core 1.2 overclocked to 1.6 (Using SetCPU)

All versions of the rom have caused this (not just one version, IE: "2.1.10")

Overheats stock battery but not 3500mAH 3rd party one.

Phone gets *very* hot but doesn't turn off due to temp.

If phone is cooled while charging (EX: on top of a laptop cooler) the phone will not charge at all.

Please Help, I really love Miui but this is stopping me from using it.

Thank you.

I will check on the website for the phones recall but if it's acting up just call the company and tell them the problem is the lithium in the battery gets to hOt and won't charge
Well I researched some stuff and Samsung should have a update that fixed the CPU to battery problem but it will get warm and most likely charge but if I was in your shoes I would go to AT&T and switch it out for new one and then look for the update
