More Information

Hey, i need to be getting a PDI+, A+, and Network+ Certifications from CompTIA as well as a cert from Dell, and Canon USA for my upcoming job.

The PDI+ is what I immediately need to be hired and the rest i can get shortly after being hired. Im having a really hard time finding study material online. Ive taken a couple practice tests and gone over the general outline of it all but really cant find much else. MY employer is paying for the test completely but my responsibility is for studying and i really dont (and dont have the cash) for the expensive books.

If anyone can point me to a source or something, anything at all that will help me study, it would be greatly appreciated. And any general advice is welcome too ^.^

Thanks in advance,
-Griff

Come on anyone? =D
I am in a similar situation. After 25 years in the I.T. field (my schooling and experience are not even being considered these days in the job market), I am now told that I have get several certifications just to be considered for the lowest entry level tier, so I have to have a minimum of A+ and Network + just to get an interview. Unfortunately there are not shortcuts and from what I have seen you have to have deep pockets and enough time on your side.

These sites will help you out and get you on your way. They have helped men in the past, but I could not proceed with them, because I ran out of money and resources. I wish I had more for you other than going to your local library and see if they can ship in some study books for you to check out and use. Of course there is always ebay for cheap books and used training courses.

Thank you ^.^

I have actually gotten my employer to pay for the books to study for the tests so i am golden. thanks tho. Ill pass those sites on to other people who i know need to get the certs in the future.

And also i feel you on your schooling not being considered. Thats the way it is now. people only want to hire people who will without a doubt be amazing at there jobs so the newer people who are trying to enter the field are kinda screwed. But you'll make it as long as you actually do know what you're doing. There are a lot of half assers in the IT field.

thanks again.
