More Information

For some reason , Crysis crashes on my PC . My OS is Windows XP 64bit Professional . And so does the app required to play GTA 4 named "RGSC.exe". And also PCSX2 . My Configurations are:
i5-750 2.66 GHz
4GB Ram DDR3
ATI RADEON 4870
1TB RAM
750W Power Supply

I had Windows 7 64bit before , and Crysis too crashed on that one and I didnt try the other ones . Can you please help me with this . Do I need a different crack for playing Crysis for XP64bit or what?

well first off it appears you are using an illegal method to play this game.

So this is right away the user's fault, and is no where hardware or software related.

I would suggest purchasing a retail copy of the game to solve your problem, and if this continues, come back to us with the same question. We cannot help copyright violators and hackers here. Sorry.
Umm , I am using the legal copy
I was asking that whether I would need a crack or not for this. I am currently not using any crack
"Do I need a different crack for playing Crysis" if you're using a legal copy there is no need for a crack

go back to tpb :p

anyways pcsx2 is a playstation 2 emulator and not related to gta 4
That is not what I meant , what I meant was that would I need a crack to make it work on my OS . That is what I meant because it was not working.
i would abandon any x64 if the game is only x86 as it will only cause slowdowns and possible issues

just use xp 32 bit and up to date drivers for your games in the future
crysis is a 64-bit Game.
Lol It's probably the most hardware demanding "Game"
out their. it's definitely 64-bit, because it was released when vista was out, and the game itself uses as high as 2GB's of ram, sometimes even more when ran on really high settings. So I would assume someone with a WIndows 7 64-bit 4GB System to be making a wise move Lol
By crack I think he meant fix.

XP 64bit isn't a very widely supported OS so I can see why you're having problems with that. I'm not so sure why it doesn't work with Windows 7 64bit though, it has way more support both from Microsoft and software/hardware vendors than 64bit XP ever had, so not too sure there. Try to make sure all your drivers for everything are up to date, and the game is fully patched.

If that fails, try using the compatibility tab in properties on the game shortcut if you've not already done so. I'm not entirely sure but I'm pretty certain Crysis was never meant to run on XP 64bit, the 64bit exe was created for Vista (seeing as it's a DX10 game too). It should work under Windows 7 64bit too but that may require a patch. I've never owned Crysis so I wouldn't know.
i don't remember even if crysis has DX9, don't think it does...

all i know is based on it's heavy hardware requirements i'm positive it has 64-bit support.
I've played the game on some pretty high settings and, i can't manage that with 32-bit on 3.5GB's of ram available, that was also with vista taking 1GB of ram, I was lagging a bit because the game was trying to take over 2GB's i had to lower my settings by a bit, mostly resolution Wise.

Shouldn't be an issue with Windows 7, ESpecially 64-bit
:) Highly recommend 64-bit for gamers anyways. :P you get the best experience from it, WIth windows 7. vista maybe, i recommend 7 Lol!, XP 64-bit? rly? idk i think xp 64-bit was bad Lol
