Hello their, I am in a bit of a pickle.
My C:\system 32\system\hal.dll has gone and got it self corrupted.
My laptop is now rendered useless, main problem is when I go to use the repair tool on the system disk it won't recognize the portion is windows. My other portion is Ubuntu but when I go to start that up I log in and blank screen. I would rather not have to do a full restor and louse all my files.
Here is your challenge.
Help me fix my laptop with out having to use repair (as it wont let me) or having to wipe the C drive.
One last question. I can still install windows over my current version with out doing a system wipe. Will this delete my program files ETC or just my Windows folder?
Pleases and thank you.
