Hey guys,
So I was poking around my computer, and on it, I have two RECOVERY partitions, one is 14.9 GB, and one is 10.1GB, and I would love to get rid of them. Here is whats in them:

RECOVERY (D) 14.9 GB
(These are all folders)
DELL
Program Folders
(Hidden) ProgramData
sources
Tools
Users
Windows

RECOVERY (G)
(These are all folders)
Recovery(in it, there are two files, Autorun.inf and info.exe

In the first one there is a TON of stuff! Also, If I make a System Repair Disk, (made on windows 7) can i get rid of them?

recovery partitions take up alot of space, if you don't plan to use them just delete them with your favorite disk editor....i just stick with acronis disk director as it deletes the unwanted partitions, and can expand your other partitions after a few clicks
If I make a System Recovery Disk, would I be able to delete them?
you can make some recovery discs, but its going to take a few dvds to backup all that data
No, I mean the "create a system repair disk" funtion in windows 7
yes you should, what os are you on? i can show you the easiest way depending on your os.
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
if you choose to do this then right click on computer, select manage. then look to left, you should see several options, one of which being disk manager, you can simply right click on the partitions you want gone, and select delete. you might want to extend the drive they are part of to reclaim disk space. hope i helped
Thanks, but last night I was cleaning and deleting and i managed to free up allot of disk space, and I think I will keep them after all. But thankyou so much!
If you need the disk space then you should, but I wouldn't incase I ever wanted to reset to factory settings.
Well, in the 14GB one, there is a Dell branded PC Backup program, but windows already has one, so I don't need it. (right?)
I'm not sure you might need it, maybe you should ask Dell they have a brilliant live chat facility here:

Ya, I think I am going to make a system restore point and just handle it from there. Thanks!
