A company behind plans to open the first hotel in space says it is on target to accept its first paying guests in 2012 despite critics questioning the investment and time frame for the multi-billion dollar project.

The Barcelona-based architects of The Galactic Suite Space Resort say it will cost 3 million euro ($4.4 million) for a three-night stay at the hotel, with this price including an eight-week training course on a tropical island.

I'd SOOOO do this.
its a step into the future but as with anything new in tech the ones with the $$$ always go first

although if they bring those annoying kids who always whine during the trip 4.4 million is not worth the headache lol
I've stared at this thing for a good couple of minutes trying to think of something to say about this. . . . This seems crazy to me.
well there seems no time line in place for this and secondly what are you going to have serving the drinks etc lol i would just have that job and then i will no longer have to pay the huge bill.
WOW!! Just WOW!!! I'd go for sure!
Maybe we should stop the starvation and poverty of other countrys, stop the fuel shortage problems, fix the envioment and also fix the economical problems before starting something like this? Like honestly? WTF..... but to be honest, i would still do it if i had 3 million spare.... You would also have a problem me getting me off the station, i would be like, I am living here, if u have a problem with that. IM BLOWING UP YOUR STATION!!!!!!!!.....

I think by saying that i just blew my chances of going.... :( doh
