Although the approach is uniquely different for everyone, the one thing that everybody wants is attention.
For example:
1. I'm writing up this discussion at this point in time hoping in turn people will give me their attention for putting in a comment or a feed back. Does the stuff you're gonna be writing matter? Will I actually read every single one of them and devote my time into thanking you for your comments?
2. One of the main reason I dropped out of high school was because I have a desire to be different. In turn, I ended up spending most of my spare time at my local magic shop reading and learning so I could be a magician! Teachers would always catch me red handed with a deck of cards practicing in my desk drawer while everyone is eager taking notes. Eventually I become known to the whole school as Matrix the Magician as I would hop cafeteria tables and amaze my fellow schoolmates. I remember this one time when I pulled my physics teacher aside and levitated my self in front of him as an attempt to debunk his lesson in Newton's law of gravity. =P
Now that I have your attention though, why don't you just go ahead and share some of your attention seeking moments?
