Care to tell me where in the Constitution is the Power to handle Health care given to the Federal Government? I don't believe anywhere.
Healthcare is not an enumerated power, therefore, the Federal Government cannot handle it. Only state and local governments are allowed to handle healthcare, up to their discretion.
So, if Obama were to pass a bill concerning healthcare, he would be breaking the very oath he made on January 20th, 2009, to serve and protect the Constitution. Passing a healthcare bill is not serving the Constitution, its serving special interests, and in fact, is unconstitutional as it is not a power that level of government is allowed to handle.

Therefore, for breaking the oath, he could very well be impeached. Will we do it though? No, because too many people are too concerned with the trivial things to even pay attention to the Constitution. But should we if it ever passes? Yes, we should.

So only way to even allow Federal Government to handle healthcare, legally, would be an amendment, we we know we can't get enough states to agree on that.

Discuss. =)

Of course. However, Medicare isn't in the Constitution though, is it. Technically that, and Medicaid are both also illegal.
Anything that the Federal Government does, in which is not an Enumerated power given to them by the Constitution is technically unconstitutional and illegal, so yes.
Anything not given to the Federal Government by enumerated powers, is instead left up to the States and local levels to deal with.
They did that so the Federal Level of government doesn't have too much power.
Another example is Education. The Department of Education at the Federal Level, is illegal. Education is a power specifically given to States and Local entities, NOT The Federal Level.
ok.. so how is the Constitution going to be rectified???
However TwoEgg, I have mentioned that in the Original Post

However, I also said that it would be near impossible to get the required amount of states to agree on it.
And as I said, until an amendment is passed, it would be illegal.
ok then.. tyler brown... to rectified the Constitution. is to vote for the next election.. voting the best party that would be fit to rule
"Best Party"
I'd rather vote for the Best Person to be honest.
Political Parties do nothing but divide the people, and create heavy amounts of centralized corruption.
Sad thing is, George Washington had warned us of these issues in his farewell speech (only man to not be in a political party,) yet we had ignored it.
I also believe Political Parties allow for Great People to be overlooked due to the Letter Next to their name, and horrible people get into powerful positions due to the Letter Next to their name has gotten a lot of media praise.
Tyler Brown,
Ya i would also vote for the best person.
The best will always lead with character and personality and integrity
They do not handle it, Medicare and medicade are completely bank rupt. the government had a hard time acuratlly bugeting, running annd getting the delar ships their money in cash for clunkers which in the grand picture, is a RLY small program.

O and they will be forcing them into the government run system ((If the bill passes)) Because right now a lot of employers pay for their employees to have health care. If and when we get the public option employers will dump that load onto the government. it only makes sense from a business point of view.

Also private insurance companies can not compete w/ an entity like the government that does not have to make a profit.

Anubis,
ya medicare is a completely not a good system.. its a system for profiteering the public
It should be abolished...
"right now a lot of employers pay for their employees to have health care"

WHERE? You need to do a tad bit of research before you claim something like that. Thousands of companies all across this company are slashing paid employee health benefits as a way to cut costs. There are more companies now who do NOT offer it any longer, than those that do.
yup... but of it are illegal.... medicaid and medicare
okay, instead of saying "its bad!" because its not in the stupid constitution how about you give some other reasons for not wanting federal health care. I know theres others, you can say somethings bad just because a damn slip of paper says/doesnt say so.
