Anything with a cable in my opinion. If you use DSL, you pay big bucks for their highest speed but remember, it still goes though a phone line. In my opinion the cable companies have the fastest service with less down time. if a phone line goes down or the phone service, you do not have internet service which is a pain.
However, you will pay big bucks to get their fastest service too.
It's really a toss up between RoadRunner and FIOS (as long as fiber is ran all the way to your house).
From what I hear Verizon would have to charge you a lot of hidden fees and taxes because they are a telephone company. Time Warner would not have to charge you for any hidden fees because they are a cable company.
Verison is defiantly the better choice, especially for reliability and speed. Do some research and look around!
