Glad to help. I'm currently running a secind generation mac mini with the latest software. I upgraded the ram to 8GB and plan to get upgrade the harddrive soon. 

But if ever a good Powermac comes up for a good price, Im having it.

Depends on ur budget really. My advice get the newest one within your budget and make sure it can run the latest OS and have the latest updates. That way you can be sure to run the latest software. 

If you feel that while the machine will run the latest software; its specs aren't impressive, you'll always have OWC to help with resources and Ebay for parts on a budget.

Attention all owners of any of the current line of Macs.  Apple is currently using 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM, which is fast for sure, but all current Macs will run perfectly on the faster 1600MHz.  I've just upgraded a current 17" MBP from 8GB of the 1333 to 8GB of the 1600.  Same amount of RAM, but faster and the difference is more than noticeable. So, if you have a Mini, MBP, or iMac and your looking for that extra little extra edge.  I used the Kingston Hyper X.  Sorry MacBook Air users, but your RAM is permanently mounted to your main board.

I just got the new 27" Cinema Display for use at home. I like to set my MacBook Pro up like a desktop at home and this monitor is amazing. Better sound, crisp clear picture, and really high resolution (2560 x 1440). I love this monitor. It was worth every dollar.

For those who have updated to iTunes 10 and do not like the fact that the traffic light caption buttons for maximize, minimize, and close are vertical and not horizontal like everything else in OS X, then here is a quick fix.
Open up your terminal app and type the line below...

defaults write com.apple.iTunes full-window -1

If iTunes is open, close it completely, then relaunch it and presto, iTunes now has the normal caption buttons in the correct position.

I'm not sure when it comes to advanced video editing, however it sounds like your doing something that pushes iMovie's limits. I'd look into Final Cut Studio or Adobe Premier CS5.

Would you be able to advise me on how to do a green screen in I-Movie, i have the screen and know how to do green screen in Photo Booth but I movie confuses me a bit
I checked the box in Imovie-->Preferences-->General-->Show advanced Tools
Here are my issues.....(1)could not find a button in I-movie to activate my webcam so I had to record a Background video And a Frontground vlog video (2) Drug Background into Project First then Front ground Vlog Video
(3) incurred 2 problems one was i got AUDIO from both and i only want it from Frontground Vlog Videothe other problem is The 2 videos MUST be the same amount of Minutes/seconds the Shorter video needs to be Longer Since this one s the one i need to eliminate the audio how do i get it to repeat itself

Yeah, I kinda agree. I do use the trackpad more with my MBP than with any other laptop I've owned, and the upgrade is a nice touch, but not a main selling feature for me. i7 cpu is and graphics updates as well. I'd also love to be able to toggle between discreet power saving graphics and more powerful graphics automatically and without the logout and back in method, but the more I think about it, USB 3 and SATA 3 are to much of an important thing to leave out. I'd speculate that the next update would include these as well as a little boost to the performance of the CPU's offered. 2.66 GHz i7 is impressive, but I bet the next one gives a little more.

Another good point is that their recent history shows that each refresh offers better faster performance as well as a slight reduction in price. So, wait 6 - 9 months, save $200. and get more in the end? Yeah, I'll hold off for now.
