Firefox 3.5 works better than Firefox 3.6 in my opinion, i have upgraded to Firefox 3.6 twice, but honestly it seems to be slow, so i ended downgrading to Firefox 3.5 again, and things works just fine!!!!

I do like having them separate. Read what I typed. I was responding to somebody else who said having them separate was an out of date concept and I was disagreeing. What I said I didn't like was how Chrome had one bar that was a search and address bar. Personally, I like how Safari and Firefox separate them. One point I did make however is that if somebody wanted a unified search/address bar like chrome uses, it would be nice to add that to one of the many customizable options in Firefox. Personally, I'd leave it like it is.

Paul, if you don't like having a seperate address and search bar, just throw the search bar away, and add search keys, on sites you use.
so you can just write "we dragon" to search for dragon on wikipedia and such (got to set that up yourself though)

I like that the address and search bars are separate on Firefox and Safari and don't really like how they are combined in Chrome. However, Firefox having such a history of personalization, I think giving users the choice between the two in the preferences would be the best option.

Firefox 4 beta is missing a lot of features that would make firefox even better. First it's still slow to start, even on a multicore machine, it's damn slow.
The address and search bars are old mentality, a unified bar would be much more clean and useful.
The speed improvements are small, the speed is kind of the same on 3.6 and 4 beta.
The tabs sometime behave weird when flash is on the page.
On windows, the start-up of the app is even slower than on the mac.
I like the new theme, but some things should change for the usability.
What is your opinion about firefox 4 ?

I have Firefox installed on my Mac and PC. The beta for the Linux and Mac versions of Firefox 4 are not as developed as the Windows version. I like Safari and Chrome for speed, but Firefox is still my Go-To browser for security.

it froze because of that? O.o weird... try the pressing / or ' without having a marker inn any textbox.
