Comment by Dan H. on December 14, 2010 at 1:45pm Wow, a YEAR and four months and no activity. Hopefully this might help a bit and get a few opinions as well.
I have been an iphobe for a LONG time. I really just never could afford one to be honest and it seems a steep price to pay when all I would be using it for was to actually make calls. Well it happened that I was owed some money and instead I got an iphone 3gs instead.
I WAS NOT HAPPY. Now I am cooling down a realizing there is ALLOT I can do (even with very limited finances) with this phone.
I have carried an old PDA around for years that was WAY out of date even when it came out. But it server as my phone book. Now I am looking for a way for the iphone to be the same but not in a regular way that most might think
I have adding numbers and other text into a .doc file for as far back as Windows 3 (Yes I am a bit old Grin) and I have kept it up and kept adding numbers and other info in it even as recent as 4 days ago when I called Home Depot and got pricing info on some flux core wire for a MIG Welder.
Anyway, after JUST GETTING this iphone on the 11th (three days ago) I still do not have a GOOD idea of HOW to be able to pull up my ".doc phone book" and use it with my "new to me" iphone.
I of course went to Youtube (because i don't know any better) and after an hour or so of wasted time I saw this one by Chris.

After seeing his name on it, and KNOWING already who he was I figured this is what I need to see, and after watching it, I noticed that the date was kinda old so I figured that people here in the iphone forum would AT THE VERY LEAST would have an idea of whats out there and if the app airshareing is still the best (or at least good)
If you got this far, THANK YOU, If you got this far and have a bit of time and something to share and help me out, THANK YOU ALLOT !!
Dan
BTW - Just to make sure I'm fully understood, the iphone I have is a 16 gig 3gs, HOWEVER I have it set up as a Go Phone. I can not afford ANY data plan, I 99% of the time leave it off (powered down) unless I go somewhere. I HAVE connected to my home wireless network but that was just to see if and how it would work.
