Why do people act differently on IRC?

This could be a long post.
Have you noticed how some people act like they know everything on IRC? It can be annoying. They act like they know everything you are talking about and when they trip up most likely because they contradicted something they said earlier they start saying you are lying etc. Can really annoy me sometimes. Thank you for /ignore! XD
Anyway I think people act differently online then in real life as they think that they can't be shown up as much. E.g.… Continue
