Why Try?
Simple question alright. Doesn't even use any vowels. I met Bill Cullen yesterday, an Irish entrepreneur who works 20 hour days and had more work to do than time would seem to permit. Despite being 70, he can still touch his toes with his wrists. His enthusiasm and joie de vive were really rather infections.

For a few days now, I've been trying to figure out the meaning of purpose and the purpose of life. I came pretty close to a final answer after a close call on my motorbike. More personally, what might my own purpose be?
Then I realised I didn't have a purpose, nor did I need the burden of trying to find one. I'm just like everyone else. Completely unique.

It used to be that guys like me were call pencil pushers. Then pen pushers. Time went by. We were called pixel pushers at one stage. Now they call us proton pushers.
I love my job, sure, but it's got one heck of a commute! A few hundred km up might seem uplifting to some, but I guess college fees don't pay for themselves.…

I often watch 2 or 3 ted videos in a given day, and they usually leave me with a sense of hope and wonder. Science is coming - everyone look busy ;)
If everything they prophesy comes true, in 20 years, I won't need a car. I might have a regular bicycle or maybe 1 that can fly. I'll be able to run for as long as I like without getting tired. Nanites will do the hard work for me.

I'm pleased to report that I've finally gotten rid of all the unknown devices and yellow "!" signs in my device manager. Bonus points? Yes. Sleep mode works now :)

32" HD TV running from a q6600, 4gb of silly ram, 8800GTS, Auzentech Prelude running 7.1 surround sound, Samsung Spinpoint 500GB drives (4 of them) all strung together by a gigabyte P35C-DS3R. And I run vista because I won my copy, but I got a bit sick of right clicking everything so now I run XP.
