People's complaints about the iPad

1st of all, slight fanboy warning. This article may opinions that favor Apple, but that's just going to happen with any topic.

After reading this article I was frustrated with what this person said about the iPad.

The name sucks: Sure, iPad may not be the best name (I personally like iSlate better or iTablet), but this is what we have. Maybe it fits better what Apple is planning for the… Continue

Why California Should Be Separated into Multiple States

California is the largest, most geographically, racially, and politically diverse state in the US. The Northern Half of California is more Liberal, while the Central Valley is Religious/Conservative. The South is another subject that I could get more into another time, so for now I will skip it.

Lets start with the North's Geography, Mountains, Cold (most of the time), and access to the Coast. It has very Liberal viewpoints, for example the right of Gay Marriage (which has been… Continue

Seriously

Over the past few days, there have been two articles that caught my eye. In both cases, the articles were about someone who thought it would be funny to joke about blowing a public facility up in public.

Of course… Continue

Why Religion Should Not Be Law

Religion should not be/control the law because not everyone follows the religion that controls that, which of right now is Christianity. Not everyone is Christian, Not everyone is Muslim, get over it.

Is a Virtual Freind Still a Freind?

Think of this:

You get a call that your mother has been rushed to the hospital for a burst colon and later on learn that she has passed away from complications. It’s a huge blow and before the Internet a person in this situation would rally around their family and friends, even if it meant driving hundreds of miles.

Yesterday I received the very news that I described above and, while I did stay in constant telephone contact with my family (I live several hundred miles… Continue

Phone Companies GIVE UP!

The iPhone changed the mobile phone industry forever. Then a year later iPhone OS 2.0 changed it again. Ever since the iPhone came out, other phone companies have tried to make an, "iPhone Killer." The Palm Pre, Blackberry Storm, LG Voyages and a countless amounts of other phones have failed at killing the iPhone. The next contender in the fight to bring the iPhone down is the Google Nexus. Google has put up a great fight against Apple, but Google and other phones are lacking… Continue

What the Apple Tablet could mean for schools

I saw this video on MacRumors today and I was surprised at the things they are planning for an unreleased tablet, most likely the Apple Tablet. No longer would students have to carry around 4 books for their classes or even take notes!

Things I'm concerned about though is pricing. I've heard that it could cost around $1,000, which would be a lot for a school to pay if they wanted to get tablets for each student. It would lessen the cost of books since the eTextBooks would most likely… Continue

The Human Computer

Welcome to the new year! Did anyone learn anything over the holiday season? I know I did. I learned that too much information can be a bad thing. Your brain might freeze trying to take in all of the ads you’ve seen on TV, all of the holiday specials you watch, or just from the amount of people wishing you a happy holidays. You’ll usually find, at the end of the holidays, your brain actually took hold of this task quite well, and stored it all in one location, where you might not access it ever… Continue

Wait For the MacBook Pro! (Please?)

Currently, I have enough money to purchase a brand-spankin' new 13" MacBook Pro. But wait? This computer has been in it's cycle for approximately 200 days and the average days Apple goes between updates is 200. So I guess a new one is expected very soon. That's what I would believe. Would you rather get your MacBook Pro a month earlier or wait a month and get the new MacBook Pro?
