I got asked this question a couple days ago by a little girl in my church and I asked myself ,why is this little girl asking me if music is a nation but then I thought about it and I asked the little girl why are you asking that question, and she said, well, you play piano. And music is everywhere right? I said to the girl , I guess your right. That conversation opened my eyes to a whole different aspect of music , GLOBAL MUSIC, so I guess what I'm trying to say is that musicians and people…

Ever since I have had Vista I have been more than happy with it. It has never crashed on me and I have never had any of the long list of various problems that other users rant about,
until today.
I will be purchasing a Mac this week and that is all that has been on my mind all weekend and thank god for it, I felt a bit sad that I would be leaving the world of windows vita behind, with its little start menu in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and its three, perfect little…

Well, it's about time. After suing thousands of teenagers for music downloads, the Recording Industry Association of America has decided to stop their tactics and end the countless battles against little boys and girls. However, this doesn't mean that we are completely off the radar yet; the RIAA has just shifted their enforcement to a different area. Yes, our ISPs now old our lifelines in their hands.
By using ISPs to do their dirty work, the RIAA hopes to put in end to the…

For once in my life since I discovered the truth about "Santa" I am actually looking forward to this great holiday season! Life has kind of switched around for me. I am no longer my own worst enemy, I've lost weight, met my true love, lost many of my fears, and obtained a great amount of ambition. I finally feel as if I have a reason to live!
So to all of my fellow geeks; literature, gaming, hardware, science, history, mathematics, programming, artistic, etc; may you too ave a very…

I have spent months attempting to set up a usable network between a MacBook running OS 10.5.5 and a Desktop PC running XP. I was rather surprised when I could not find a simple yet complete article on this subject anywhere. So I decided to write one. Please feel free to leave any comments.
There are at least two things everyone wants to do in any home network; VNC (Vertual Network Computing) and File Sharing (I won’t get in to home network backup solutions in this…

I haven't been able to give them anything. I haven't been able to so much as hug my children. I have missed so much time with them it makes me sick to my stomach. I don't need anything but them. I just want to give everything to them. They have my heart. I want them to know that they are from me. Please help me let them know that I love them and I miss them and If I could be with them I would. I would choose for them the star wars package. On my First sons Birthday I sold my Gaming computer so…

Receiving the Gift of Giving is inspiring and puts cheer into the holiday spirit, especially for those who are less fortunate.
I choose the Family Game Night package. If I win, the Asian Resources 501(c)3 Organization will be deeply appreciative - the numerous games can benefit the families of Russian, Hmong, Vietnamese, Chinese - AR helps any family that walks through their doors…

"One of the most frightening things about your true nerd, for many people, is not that he's socially inept- because everybody's been there- but rather his complete lack of embarassment about it."
~Neal Stephenson
Labels are a sign of a mentally weak mind, but as a society, we're simply brainwashed into thinking it's an acceptable process. While I'd like to present something here that would help to make people think twice about the usage of labels upon others, I realize the…

This is a really cute forward that I was sent from a friend...
Dear Tech Support,
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.
In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as
· Romance 9.5 and
· Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs…

Hi, I have a Microsoft IntelliType Pro keyboard. The F2 key is default to 'undo'. I just want to use it to select a cell in Excel, like the regular keyboard. How could I change that? I went to the keyboard setting and tried to change from the default (MS IntelliType Pro setting) to 'select' but 'select' is not an option. Would truly appreciate your help as I use Excel quite a bit and it bugs me that I have to use a mouse to select a cell, then be able click into the cell for editing. Thanks...

*sigh* Once again, there are girls joining here who promptly proceed to do nothing more than post suggestive pictures of themselves. And once again, half the guys who are members here are pushing and shoving each other out of the way in order to comment on said girls' profiles. At the same time, there are all of us Geek girls who post actual good content... posts that make you actually use your brains.
I will never understand. I know, I know... I should get it by now. Looks count far…

Haha, I didn't think anything like this would ever happen.
I originally made the logo for another desktop wallpaper, but after creating it I thought I would upload just the logo, so I did and I sent the logo to Chris to see what he thought. The logo was featured and he commented it, at this point I was happy anyway that it had been featured - this was on Friday.
Then today I wake up and go on Geeks!, browse around a little and then notice the logo has changed, to the one I…
