Books!

I usually don't make new years resolutions, but this year I decided to. I decided that I would make a list of books that I've been wanting to read for a long time, and actually sit down and read them.

Thanks to my mom I got a nice gift card to Barnes And Nobles. I was able to get six books to get me started. I grabbed The Prince And The Pauper by Mark Twain and Crime And Punishment by Dostoevsky.

I was satisfied for the moment, but I saw that B&N was having a sale on… Continue

Face masks for health

The cost of health care in our nation has gotten outrageous. Rather it is the cost of the insurance or the charges from the medical world. It has been hitting us all hard. There are a lot of people having to do without the medicine or the health care they need due to cost. Preventive care is very important in stopping the runaway train that we call healthcare.

I think we need to take more aggressive steps for good health. We have already implemented several vaccines for the major… Continue

A Fresh Start in 2010

For me, 2009 was a Smiths song. Long, depressing and it seemed that everything I did fell apart. My relationship, my job, my education, my apartment...even friendships that I thought would last forever proved to be just detours in my life. In December I was left feeling alone and hopeless, so I packed up my bags and came back home. As an adult, moving back in with your parents is a hard decision. You don't want to admit you made mistakes, or that things happened you couldn't handle. That's the… Continue

The online petition for freedom of speech on You Tube.

This is unofficially my first real blog, so i see it fitting that it is something i feel strongly about. I feel that anybody that has posted or even watches videos on YT that has anything to do with free speech or could be considered by some people to be offensive. Than we have the responsibility to go and sign that petition, it is anonymous, so nobody will see you full name or info. Yes you do have to give your name but it is safe! I did it and for the most part I try to keep my docs private!… Continue

Use Layers of Protection on Your Computer

Computer security people advocate layers of protection. There is no single software program that gives absolute protection. The Internet criminals and hackers simply respond too quickly, and are too sophisticated to be stopped by any one method.

One of the layers of protection that people seem to neglect is encryption. There seems to be a common misconception that encryption is… Continue

The Google Years

On Sunday Leo Laporte asked people what they thought was the most important story of the decade. This got me thinking what it would be, there people on the show that said the iPhone, youtube, and some that said withering of Microsoft. I thought that the most important story of the decade was Google’s suite of cloud applications like Gmail, Google Docs, Google Reader, and Google Calendar.

Tech that changed the way we lived in the 2000's

The Apple Ipod There were MP3 players before the Ipod, but none as big a success as the Ipod, as it has evolved from a 5 gb player with a monochrome screen and mechanical wheel to a touch screen portable gaming and audio device, so popular that alot of non tech followers refer to any mp3 player as an ipod.

DVR / PVR Tivo may have been the big dog in all of this, but no matter what recorder you use, you cannot argue that it changed the way you view television. no longer… Continue

The Verdict: Short ‘The Saboteur’ Game Review

http://daz4590.co.uk/wordpress/2009/12/30/verdict-the-saboteur-game-short-review/

I was lucky enough to get The Saboteur for the Xbox 360 for Christmas. This final game for Pandemic Studios has only just come out and is in a sense underrated. A mix of GTA and Assassins Creed in 1940s Nazi occupied Paris sums up this game in a nutshell. With a good storyline and loads of Nazi buildings to… Continue

Why I have Harman Kardon Soundsticks II

These computer speakers, undoubtedly, are the best one’s out there today. Yes, I am writing a review on these, even though they have been out for a long while. The reason for this is because usually speakers like these are on the market for a year, then replaced. These speakers, however, have stayed in the market.
