Geek Out!

More Information

Hello and thankyou for reading this blog. My question has to do with processors. My computer came with a quad-core processor but I want to upgrade. Somehow through work we got a bunch of Intel Core2 Extremes and i recieved one for home use. I am more than happy to use it but my current processor is a 2.6GHz and the Extreme i got is a 3.2GHz. What substantial differnce will I notice between the two processors? Keep in mind that I am relying on your feedback and if there really won't be much of a difference I will sell it off cause I know how expensive they are. Please be mature about this and don't just say, "It sucks!" or, "It's great!" without giving me some deductive reasoning as to why it sucks or it's great. Thanks again for reading and any feedback will be of much help.

My current is a Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600. I was mistaken, it is a 2.4GHz not a 2.6GHz. The Extreme I recieved is a Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9775 Quad-Core Processor 3.2 GHz. Hope this helps.
