I've always been the computer girl in the family, but considered that mainly consisted of setting up home networks and knowing when to plug what in where, my experience is pretty limited. Oh sure, I might do a little programming (text based adventure anyone? or perhaps, a web page from 1997?) and I even built my own computer, but after applying for an "entry level-no experience needed" tech job I realized I had so much more to learn.

I want to use my geeks blog to capture my love affair with computers, showing the world the joy of the little things from a fresh, young and new perspective. Also, posting about it might get me more motivated to stick to my plan and pursue the career I've been dreaming about for years.

I as well have experience with home networking and basic web building (www.essaybeats.com). My dream career is to land a tech job, although i haven't found an employer out here in chicago willing to give me a chance to reach my potential. I feel you on this, and totally say "ROCK ON!".
