IMO DW is a very good program for web coding, especially CS5.
Some Probs:
>It's RAM hungry
>It can be slow
>Takes somewhere from 10secs to 50secs to launch.
Some good stuff:
>Very friendly GUI, easy to navigate
>Has code hinting for (i think) all web coding languages out there
>Has Live View (I suggest you dont use this as most of the time it screws up the preview so youll end up breaking something that worked.
I don't really like code that WYSIWYG's like Dreamweaver generate, it bloats up everything unnecessarily. It's OK for code completion, syntax coloring and project management overall. I personally use Aptana Studio for coding websites. Dreamweaver is user friendly but it does not replace a good web designer, it's a tool, an aid, not a complete solution.
It's stable like most Adobe CS software, yeah, but it consumes a lot of memory also (another thing I don't like).
