I wasn't "telling" you what to do, just offering a suggestion. What ever your choice, please consider becoming a part of the solution, as opposed to part of the problem.

Adoption attorneys are great in my opinion (as opposed to "ambulance chasers").

SSS, as it says at the top, I still have to hunt down some links and what not, Ip osted this off what i knew at the time, so A: i would not forget, and B: People can look it up them selves if they find it interesting enough.

I have not had a lot of time lately to look up links, and I do not have time now, because I am about to leave for camp in 20 or so min.

So to everyone, when i get back on thurs. i will try my hardest to get some links up for you all.

Anubis, I see your desire to present what you think is a good article for people to consider but you do need to post links and get all of your facts together before you do so. It would be more helpful in presenting your case.

One day when you start to study history and also, both sides of the issue Anubis, you will make a great person for presenting your argument.

Geekless and Trucker,

I understand where you're coming from. Those of us who have worked hard and contributed all of our lives do need help sometimes. Most of us working stiffs probably have paid our fair share of taxes and then some.

As for the professional welfare mothers, our government (the one that's supposed to be "Of the people, by the people, and for the people") needs to get off of it's civil servant ass and do a better job at identifying those folks. And stop putting everyone who needs and deserves a little help through their stupid shell game.

Something else that has saddened me through the years is the number of people my age that decided not to have children because it was inconvenient for their social life. Sure, they have a right not to, but not being able to see the bigger picture beyond themselves is a bummer. And I didn't see these folks being "philanthropic" with all of that extra time they had either. Just buying bigger "toys", taking bigger vacations, pretty much living for themselves . Their right again, but when they start copping attitude with me because I put my children first (yes, it's happened) well that's where I draw the line!

And "Anubis"

Psychologist or Lawyer? How about a profession that contributes to society like an Engineer, a plumber, or even a gunsmith for God's sake! There's enough dead weight in this country already, and you younger folks have the opportunity to change that.

I have worked and do work, if I want some thing I have to go work for it and get it because we don't have a lot of money...So I do know how to work. And don't tell me I do not have the maturity to research a topic it CLEARLY says @ the top I still have to do a bit more resarch on this, which implies this MAY NOT be 100% true, but I have reason to believe it is, if it turn out I was wrong, I will edit the damn post.

You are getting rly angery...It is not healthy.

How would you know, Anubis? You're 16, living at home with your parents. What do you know about working and supporting a family? Nothing. This is exactly why 16 yr olds don't vote, because they don't have the maturity to throroughly research an issue before making a decision.
You have yet to post a link to this proposed change in California's unemployment regulations. For all we know it could be nothing more that a rumor.
Grow up.

The point I am trying to make, is these social programs are not working to improve peoples lives...Many people just sit around on wel-fare cause they don't jhave to work.

So you're saying that the government caused the slums of Detroit? You aren't making any sense. Detroit has suffered the same fate as every other town that relied on a single industry to provide employment. There are slums in every city, I've seen some pretty bad ones in L.A. and St. Louis. The place I live now is rural and suffers chronic unemployment since Brown Shoe Co. and Gates Rubber closed their factories. There are plenty of countries in the world that successfully integrate social programs with capitalism. Perhaps we should take a look at what they've done and learn a thing or two.

I can understand the comments about Big Government, creeping socialism, etc., but, the crux of the matter is Big Business runs the government and they are squeezing every penny they can out of this country. You're absolutely right when you talk about we the people and we should be demanding our government back from these corporations. Why should they not be paying their fair share of taxes, why should they get tax breaks to move jobs out of the country, why should they move their headquarters offshore and pay no taxes. Perhaps if there were jobs for Americans some of these social programs wouldn't be needed. As far as healthcare is concerned, why should some corrupt and greedy corporation tell you your not covered for that operation that will save your life because it's bad for our bottom line. Socialized healthcare works in every civilized country in the world, we will never hear about it because the healthcare industry spends billions to make sure we don't hear about it!
