Geek Out!

More Information

Well I'm exhausted and I've been meaning to write more here on Geeks so I figured why not now?! Pandora's on and I just finished reviewing a clients' QuickBooks file. It's about 1am and I am supposed to be heading out first thing in the morning to spend the weekend at my mother-in-law's with my wife and 3 dogs. The mother-in-law thing is a GOOD thing in my case. A wonderful woman who only ever wants to feed me, only this time she can't! I started Jenny Craig (yes it's for MEN now too) and last I checked, 2 weeks in I already lost 5 lbs.

Did you see the video Chris Pirillo posted on September 8 about Drop Box? I just started using it a couple of weeks ago and now I am obsessed with it! I have already put a ton of my clients on it. Now I am just looking for other ways I can use it. What a great way to share files - this is especially useful for QuickBooks where the client and I both need to work on it. In fact it's perfect. Sorry Chris, I would have used your link to give you credit, but I didn't get your video on time. If you have an account and you refer others to use it you get an extra .5GB of space up to I think an additional 20GB? Something like that. I think I will do my own screen cast on using Drop Box and post it up. I did put up a bunch of videos this week on my YouTube Channel:

Getting Organized - Organizing Your files In Windows

MS Excel Tutorial - Sorting It Out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjWhZnaXTco

Windows Tutorial - Unlocking The Taskbar, Unleashing Your Potential

Of course I will add them in here in a day or two when I have time. I honestly just don't feel like writing up the descriptions right now. And with that, I bid you all a wonderful night!!

Dropbox is awesome... I've been using it for what seems like a year now... I use it constantly. I have the client on my iPad iPod and newly on my BlackBerry. I know at one point the referrals were only for 250MB and a max of 2GB, but maybe things have changed... It is really nicely programmed. Back to my vacation!

I have been using Drop Box for about 3 months now. This is my first venture in online storage. I get a sense of security and privacy with Drop Box. To me Drop Box is the poor man's version of Mobile me. It doesn't matter whether I am on my Windows machine or my Mac, the files are fully sync'd and available. This is a must have service!
