Got a USB Flash Drive? Use it as extra RAM!

Have Windows Vista and have a spare USB flash drive lying around? You can use that USB flash drive as free extra RAM! First, plug in your USB flash drive. If you have files on the USB drive, erase them all. Go to MyComputer and right click the flash drive's icon. Click format and you should get a window like this.

Leave everything as it is except the Allocation Unit Size. Change it to Default Allocation Size. After you have done that, hit Start and ignore any warnings you may receive. Depending on your computer specs, this may take a few minutes. After this process has finished, go back to My Computer, right-click on your USB drive and click the Readyboost tab. Choose the option that says Use this device as shown below.
Drag the pointer all the way to the right and click OK. Congratulations! To use the flash drive for storing files again, right click the flash drive's icon and go to Readyboost. Click the option that says Do not use this device and click OK

Also, in theory this sounds great, but in practice it doesn't really work. This option isn't found in Windows seven. It was also tried on the G1 with the phones SD card. Didn't really add any oomph to the phone.

Please note that not all flash drives are compatible.
