Ok I have flamed this Junker since the start....I will admit it LOOKS nice....but there it will end for me...I have used many devices like this from tablet PCs to Linux clones and NONE are useable! You spend the entire time you use it figure out HOW TO USE IT! Mac Flame boys always are looking for the next simple devices to allow them to just do what they need to supposedly without much effort...Well Apple has sank its own ship with the Ipad. You just simply cannot use it right...hold it NO one handed typing....lay it on your lap NO you must be a contortionist...use a Docking station SURE but you might as well have gotten something else to use it defeats the whole purpose of having this style device! It’s a flaw I cannot see the device ever overcoming. Will it be purchased SURE will someone always find a use for it SURE....will it change the PC world WHO KNOWS I personally do not think so unless people develop muscles in places they never had before to hold the thing. Who knows maybe evolutionary visonists are correct and we will all sprout a new arm from out of our chest to hold onto this thing and type on LOL...

I have over 300 pad type devices where I work most of which are windows based computers. I have used a bunch of different brands. Just never had a use for something that was non productive. May be good for pictures, I guess that is really apples only win ever to be honest. Market share will always show this to be the truth. The real world shows me that we now have 3 Ipads at my work. Only one person who was shown the device liked it. He is a Fanboy already. The other 20-30 people put it down in 10 mins or less and asked what they would do with it as it was already boring them too much. I know it will have its way into many people's houses but I do not think it will be the next great device....protect the might blue apple at all costs you guys. :)
Negatives as I see them
- Can't multitask without destroying warranty and this IS the way Apple wants it for YOU
- Can't have anyone develop apps for your business.
- Istore Nuff said
- what do you do with the thing while you use it?
- Dead battery Ohh well it was not that useful anyways.
- Transferring large files....sure at N at best speeds for now unless you want to pay more
- Camera which is almost an industry standard on any web enable devices anymore. Apples way again
- does not appear to be manageable well in Corp environment.
- No security so far for encryption that is standard practise for sensative information.
- how do you use the thing without another device...
- its 500$ for a simgle process large Ipod touch.

- Powers up in less than 0.2 sec = Great.
- powers down in less than 0.2 sec = great.
- takes and processes and shows off photos (I did get the APP)
- does my emails
- using Page to do the DOC files
- I still am looking for a File Manager - I am sure it is available.
- form factor great.
- watch what is being developed
