Linux is used in more places than ever now, including cell phones, DVD players, personal computers, servers, netbooks, and even industrial control machines. The devices it runs on are getting smaller and smaller. Where I work we use SoC's to power the industrial equipment that we sell. We're currently transitioning to Linux.

I thought the Linux fans here would get a kick out of this. Here is the world's smallest Linux computer:

Just a little bit larger than the Ethernet port mounted to it, this baby is running Linux, at a whopping 55Mhz.

Bump it up to 200+ mHz and it would be faster than my Windows 98 PC! XD
