My Top 5 FREE Programs.
We all love free. All of us. Especially if its good software. Here I have compiled a list of MY top 5 free programs & services that are both useful but fun too. Post your favorite free programs below. All software will have links to download them and all are 100% safe to use. IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER!
1. Google Chrome.
A Great web browser that's clean, fast and has great security.
2. GIMP (GNU Image manipulation program)
A Great Open Source, image editor for both beginner and advanced users. A great alternative to Adobe Photoshop.
3. Notepad ++
A Great HTML Editor and can also be used to edit regular text files. Advanced version of windows' Notepad.
4. CamStudio
A Great screen recording utility for windows. Lots of options and a great alternative to TechSmith's suite.
5. RoboForm
A Nice utility to have that saves passwords (10 for the basic version) has a clean interface and works well.

I agree with your top five picks for free programs.
Google Chrome and GIMP are definitely within in my top five.
So without repeating any of the programs you have already mentioned, today my top five picks are:
1. OpenOffice 3.3.0

3. PicPick 2.3.8 (The best screen capture utility that I have used, and it has image editing incorporated - better than MS paint, not quite as good as GIMP.)

10. SIW - System Information for Windows (Since I've been in IT for over 20 years, I like this best all-in-one utility for cataloging and computer's entire hardware and software inventory along with all of its network information, while incorporating tech tools and real-time monitors.
