More Information

In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, the great magician/illusionist David Copperfield named 3P’s for success, the first “P” is passion and the second “P” ispreparation ( shared in Power of the “P” pt.1 and pt. 2).

The third “P” is persistence.  Often times, when pursuing a goal or chasing a dream, we hit the ground running because we’re amped and full of zeal!  But if we were honest, we’d admit that the time it takes to accomplish a goal, finish a project or simply deal with unforeseen hurdles of life can be draining.  Persistence, or the ability to continue in goal achievement soon becomes a friend of the past.

Copperfield understands the power of persistence.  He shared with Oprah that each illusion takes 2-3 years to create and perfectly execute.  His goal for excellence is fueled by a persistent effort to study, create, and execute illusions perfectly.

The question is, do you have the discipline to be persistent in accomplishing your goals?  Even if it takes years before anyone (including you) can see the end result?

Thanks for reading,

Eric
