"Something new" comin in 10.10, OOO!

By now most of you know that new look that Ubuntu 10.04 will bring, you
know the one which will have the close, minimize/maximize buttons on the
left. There's been a lot of criticisims about that style looking too
much like Mac OS. Mark ShuttleWorth responded to those criticisms saying
he got "something new" planned
for 10.10.
He says that the reason he put the button on the left is because he will be using the right side for "something new", interesting ehhh....

So I ask you Linuxers, What do you think that something
new
might be?

Will it be something that will order pizza for you?

I don't know you tell me, so leave you responses in the comments section below!

That's it for this rather short post, see you next time :)

Moving them to the left is a big change but why are we linux users in the first place? Isn't it that we're open minded and a lot more revolutionary than your average doze people? As long as this "new" thing is revolutionary and nothing like the useless widgets vista put to the right of the desktop... Thumbs up.

I hope that "something new" will do my laundry, walk the dog and clean the cat's litter box. If it won't do those things, then just how new can it be? ;-)

There is a lot of speculation that the menu bar for each window will be integrated into the title bar, using that right hand spot. Also zeitgeist integration could potentially be very innovative and extremely useful. It seems on the user interface front we are finally beginning to become inventive.

Have no idea why, and I kind of like the Mac setup, but I'll upgrade anyway for the same reason "Computerwhiz1" will. I like having the newest stuff. More fun playing that way.

As for the buttons on the left that is fairly easy to change if you know what you are doing. They might even put a easy setting in there for it, so don't get too worked up over it. As for ubuntu in general, I will upgrade just because I like to have the latest versions of things.

I'm not sure I like the left sided min/max/close. I hate macs anyway, so that could make me hate ubuntu as well... There should at least be a choice I guess?
