So I am shopping for a new camera that preferably can double as a web cam for my mac. Well i come to find out that i am going to need a fire wire port but some people are telling me it doesn't matter. So go on to purchase this beast AVCHD and night vision (very cool). When I realize that the dang thing won't work as a web cam. So i am just giving a PSA to anyone I have yet to try it on my HP touch so I will try that soon. Any one have suggestions if so please feel free to comment below.

Comment by Alex Thompson on May 1, 2010 at 7:49am: I used this program that converted DV to a webcam program... But the Sony AVCHD Handy-cams I have worked with use usb and their program. (by the way AVCHD is a pain in the ask me later to edit)
