Vulnerable Flash In latest Apple Update

It appears that yesterday's update for the Mac OS X operating, included an outdated and Vulnerable version of Adobe Flash player.
This includes several and very critical security vulnerabilities.

The newest version of Adobe Flash player, which is version 10.1, is not
vulnerable to any of these. It was released on June the 10th, and the Apple update was released yesterday June the 15th.

These vulnerabilities expose the user to malicious hacker attacks,
and yes this can happen to you as it does with windows users as well,
so Please visit Adobe's website and get the latest version of Flash
to avoid the possibilities. Apple should be aware of this soon, if
not already are.

The vulnerable flash player included in the Mac OS X update is
version 10.0.45.2.

Please update to 10.1 to fix all vulnerable issues.

ginjasam, Mike is right. Apple doesn't just decide "Hey lets throw an update out to everyone like right now", make the update, and send it off. They thoroughly test it. So Adobe's update wasn't early enough to be included. It's an problem that couldn't be solved anyway.

Just go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer and you can update. It's no big deal.

An update goes through several testing phases. Adobe's update simple was too late for Apple's testing cycles.
Flash on the desktop is bigger than Apple, and not something that can steer people away from. Apple would never be able to take control over Flashy applications on the desktop in the browser.
But for their mobiles and ipads it's different. Those are propriety platforms, and they want their own systems to animate stuff and provide media.
I don't think they have any need to make people "hate" flash in order to push an agenda. They're already fully in control over their proprietary platforms, and the desktop is flash anyway.

They're only doing it to make people hate flash and blame flash for the vulnerabilities. It's a scheme Apple are fully aware of.
