What's your favorite instrument?
Well, I am new to the geeks community and I would like to get to know some of you better. So.. What are your guy's [and girls] favorite instruments? Have you ever played your favorite instrument before? [You don't have to play the instrument for it to be your favorite!]
I personally am a fan of guitar. Electric guitar, to be exact. I have played electric guitar for a little over a year. I also own a 6 piece drum kit and a vintage piano which formerly belonged to my grandmother, I believe it is from the late 1800's to early 1900's. The drums are fun to bang on [especially to relieve stress] but there is nothing like the rush I get while playing classic rock/metal on guitar. What are your experiences with your favorite instrument[s]?
More info on my guitar playing: My first guitar was an off brand, fender style guitar. Then, I got a cheap, off brand Les Paul style guitar. The first time I saw my Les Paul copy I was in love. Now I own a 2008 Les Paul standard, it sounds absolutely amazing.

Jorge- Your right, it's never too late. I know alot of people even over age 60 start playing music.
Metalove and Jorge- when you say bass are we talking of bass guitar or bass drum

I love Bass, it's like the heartbeat of a song.
I used to play violin, but never practiced and never really developed a passion for it so I quit music all together. Probably a huge mistake, but never too late to start up again.
