Do the research and the math, but if you want someone's opinion the 6870 and 6850 differences are not substantcial. It all comes down to the performance options/settings you seak, when picking a graphics card.for 20$ more your paying for a faster clock rate, as a 6850 can see the same performance as a 6870 simply by overclocking it. =/
